Maine West’s LeSeth signs with NIU

Maine West senior Jayson LeSeth has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Northern Illinois University.

Last fall, LeSeth scored 5 goals and was credited with 12 assists as he earned Central Suburban League all-conference honors and captained the Warriors to regional and sectional championships under the guidance of coach Mike Divincenzo.

LeSeth was also a Daily Herald all-area choice and was honored as an all-sectional player.

In an NIU news release, coach Eric Luzzi said of LeSeth: “We had seen good things from him with his club team, but he really impressed us at our Elite Camp last summer. He has a very good soccer brain, and will fit very well into our team’s style of play next season.”
