Village's yard waste program resumes April 4

The village's spring yard waste program will resume for the season the week of April 4.

Yard waste will still be collected on the same day of the week as refuse and recycling. The collection will run from the first full week of April through the second full week of December.

Biodegradable bags or cans up to 45 gallons and 50 pounds must have a $1.80 sticker on each. Bundled brush will be collected at no cost but each bundle must be no wider than 18 inches, no longer than six feet and no heavier than 50 pounds. Also, no branch may exceed six inches in diameter.

A free six-week leaf collection will still be available each autumn. The collection dates will be announced beforehand based on the forecasted dates the leaves will fall.

Yard waste, as well as refuse stickers, may be purchased at the following locations:

• Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson

• Jewel Food Store, 1177 S. Main St.
