Sidor has proved his worth to this writer
Mike Sidor is worthy of the position for village trustee in Arlington Heights in the upcoming election.
When a land use variance proposing the construction of a business in a residential area arose in my neighborhood, I reached out to the entire village board to see if they would meet one-on-one to discuss the matter. Some trustees took me up on the offer, while others vehemently denied me the opportunity to meet.
The elections of 2009 were pending at the time and I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Sidor, then a candidate for trustee, at a local meet and greet event. Mike took immediate interest in learning more about our neighborhood issues, visited the site on multiple occasions and brought others to the site to offer their professional opinions.
His interest and participation in our cause continued for the next year, well beyond the local elections of 2009. Mike’s contribution to our cause played a key role in helping us plead our case, resulting in the denial of the variance.
Mike is someone who takes in all of the facts before drawing conclusions. A man of his word with high ethics and morals, his genuine concern for issues in our community and his willingness to listen to its residents are qualities that everyone should seek in their village trustee.
