BG would benefit from having Stein on board

I am proud to say I served with Andy Stein on the Buffalo Grove Zoning Board of Appeals for 5½ years. Andy Stein listened intently to all the applicants that came before the Zoning Board. He understood the local zoning ordinance.

Having been trained as an attorney, Andy understood that his job was to consider all the factors of the applicable ordinance and vote for what he believed was best for the citizens of Buffalo Grove.

Andy Stein never hesitated to vote in a manner that was consistent with his view of the future of Buffalo Grove. Andy always acted professionally and appropriately at the meetings.

Andy has lived in his home for the last 23 years, of which the last seven have been in Buffalo Grove. (The village annexed his home in 2004). He is married to Rochelle and has two children enrolled in District 102.

A few years ago, Andy led his neighborhood in a campaign to restrict an off track betting parlor from coming to Buffalo Grove. Although that off track betting parlor eventually was allowed to open in Buffalo Grove, through Andy’s efforts the size and scope of this operation was greatly diminished from the initial proposal.

Andy was able to express his opinions and views in a professional and competent manner and this was thereafter taken into account by the Buffalo Grove board of trustees. Andy also demonstrated an ability be a leader and work to improve the community in which he lives.

Andy believes that Buffalo Grove is a wonderful community and works hard to keep it that way. He now asks for your vote to become a Buffalo Grove village trustee.

Your vote for Andy Stein will mean that Andy will use his skills and training from his professional education, as well as his expertise as a member of the zoning board of appeals and long time resident of Buffalo Grove, and use that knowledge, skill, leadership abilities, and professional demeanor to make Buffalo Grove the great community that we all know.
