If unions lose, we all lose

For those of you who think that it does not matter if union members start losing some benefits, I would like to tell you that it does affect all workers whether they are union or not.

When the unions began fighting for benefits and rights for workers and won some of them, companies large and small began to include benefits in their companies to keep unions from forming in them. If unions begin losing benefits and rights it will eventually affect many workers who are not in unions because the companies can reduce or eliminate benefits without fear of unions organizing in their workplace.

Eventually the only people who will have good benefits untouched by any of these circumstances will be our elected officials who are certainly not interested in cutting any of their own benefits or salaries.

I am retired and have never been in a union. I would like people to start thinking about circumstances that could occur.
