Update: The Nets (22-43) have a long way to go, but they’re making a playoff push. Monday’s win over Boston was their fifth straight. Deron Williams has averaged an amazing 14.2 assists in his first six games with New Jersey. Center Brook Lopez (20.0 ppg.) remains the team’s top scorer. PF Kris Humphries has been on a roll, averaging 16.8 points and 16.8 rebounds over the last five contests. The Bulls’ first trip to Newark went badly, a 96-94 loss on Jan. 5.
