Finally we’re asking, Where can we cut?

I continually read articles from people that Joe Walsh is out of touch with his district because of his support to cut various government programs. That is why we sent him to Washington. Given the wild spending binge of the last two years, just bringing spending down to 2008 levels would be a victory.

What people writing those letters miss in their thought process is the fact that our federal government is broke. Cuts will have to be made everywhere. People and their pet programs will be disappointed. Get over it, we are broke!

Joe Walsh was sent to Washington to get spending under control. He understands the enormous burden Obamacare is on the business community. He understands that if kept in its current form 800,000 jobs will be lost over the next eight years. He understands that it will do nothing to slow down medical costs. He understands that entitlements are a huge part of the problem that must be addressed. He is looking forward to being the adult in the room as the saying goes.

Will there be cuts to education, Planned Parenthood, local communities, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the military, NPR, EPA, agriculture subsidies, etc.? Yes, and the sooner the better.

The Republicans have reframed the discussion in Washington. No longer is the premise, How much will we spend? It has been changed to, How much we will cut? I am encouraged by what I see and proud to have Joe Walsh representing a limited government viewpoint for our district.
