Health care reform has many negatives
A number of recent letters to this newspaper have sung the praises of Obamacare. Do these people understand that the legislation calls for the creation of over 100 new governmental agencies? My guess is that this will add another 10,000 government workers to our already bloated government work force (in addition to 16,000 new IRS employees).
This means adding people who are paid high salaries for doing little work, not to mention exorbitant pensions down the road. When is this madness going to stop?
While the letter writers like to point out the good features of Obamacare, they ignore the negatives, including loss of personal freedom and higher premiums to the average person. To provide an example of the efficiency of a government-run program, I visited my local Social Security office and requested a routine document. That visit was on May 17, 2010.
I’m still waiting for the document.
