Lincolnshire's PaperShower.com expands line, sales outlets

Had a “paper shower” lately?

Jim Bahcall of Buffalo Grove hopes you do, since his web business, PaperShower.com, offers a wet-and-dry cloth combination product to use if you don't have soap and water handy.

The Lincolnshire-based business, which also is on Facebook and Twitter, just sold the products on its own site and later expanded with various size towelettes on Amazon.com.

He's now in talks with other retailers, including some sporting good stores.

“We have plans for expanding the line,” Bahcall said.

Bahcall is a dentist who teaches at Marquette University in Wisconsin. His commute can be difficult at times, so he finds enjoyment in cycling or mountain biking. Often, he won't have access to a shower, so he created the wet-and-dry towel combinations to refresh himself quickly.

Bahcall launched the online business last September, mostly due to his entrepreneurial spirit and since he wanted an alternative to freshen up after cycling in the city or after a mountain bike trek.

The business came together quickly, since he already had various vendors relationships established with other dental-based product businesses that he started.

He then sent the products to Chile to help the 33 trapped miners and their families.

Now he travels to trade shows and events to promote the wet-and-dry towel product, he said.

“We've found a niche market in the multimillion dollar wet-wipe business.” he said.
