Antioch: Crosby, Sakas, Dominiak
Daily Herald Editorial Board
Antioch trustee candidates for three four-year terms generally agree the village is poised for growth when the economy recovers. The key, most say, is positioning the town to take advantage of the opportunity.
There also are other issues, including replacing the town’s aging pool and the future of a deteriorating industrial park, that must be addressed.
We believe the best course is to return incumbents Dennis Crosby and George Sakas to office. They have our endorsement. They have been good stewards during tough financial times, and have a grasp of critical issues.
Also endorsed is newcomer Mary Dominiak, who has served on the planning and zoning commission, and emphasizes resident involvement.
Two former board members, Barbara Porch and Taso Maravelas, also are candidates. While they offer years of previous government experience, we think the village board would benefit most from a fresh face and fresh ideas.
