Paint The Town Green

All day Irish-themed festival in downtown Palatine, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day parade

11 a.m. From the community parking lot at 200 E. Wood St. It goes west to Benton, north to Colfax, west to Brockway and ends at the train station. Bring nonperishable food items and/or paper items for pickup during the parade by Journeys from PADS to HOPE.

Irish Market

Downtown Palatine Metra station, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Booths offering jewelry, purses, chocolates, flowers, cupcakes, cookies, travel and health information. McNulty Irish Dancers perform.
