Elgin library hosts TechCamp

Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin, will offer “TechCamp ’11” from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 12.

The public is invited to learn about new technologies from technology experts: Gail Borden librarians. Find out how to share photos with friends, job search, grow your business and read the latest best-seller the e-way.

The topics will be: “eBooks” from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; “Managing Your Online Life” from 1:30 to 2 p.m.; “Photo Sharing” from 2 to 2:30 p.m.; “Video and Podcasting” from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; “Blogging and RSS” from 3 to 3:30 p.m.; and “Social Networking for Business” from 3:30 to 4 p.m.

There also will be a Technology Petting Zoo and Stump the Techie with your questions. Bring your gadgets.
