Dining events: Capannari's opens for the season

It's a Banana Extravaganza to kick off Capannari Ice Cream's season opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12. Bring a banana and receive 25 percent off banana splits. Ice cream flavors available will include Guinness, Irish cream and Irish coffee to commemorate St. Patrick's Day. Capannari's will be open weekends in March and seven days a week beginning April 4.

Beelow's Steakhouse

It's all in the family at Lake Zurich's new dining hot spot: Beelow's Steakhouse. Beelow's features 35-day aged steaks and a variety of cuts of beef and pork from the Beelow family farm in Mundelein; a slow-roasted and hand-carved prime rib; seafood and locally sourced produce. All entrees include a small iceberg wedge or mixed greens salad and choice of potatoes or fresh vegetables.
