A clear choice for Lombardians
As a recent college graduate, I've been paying careful attention to the dire financial forecasts coming out of Washington and Springfield. The picture often looks bleak, and it seems like politicians are unable or unwilling to change things.
That does not have to be the case, and dedicated public officials can make a difference. That is the lesson Lombard Trustee Laura Fitzpatrick has taught me. She works hard to see that our village is responsive to us. She responds quickly to problems and helps find solutions. She gets things done.
On her watch, unnecessary overtime has been eliminated, efficiency has increased and the budget is being reined in. At the same time, the events that define Lombard have gone forward and some have even gotten bigger and better.
I pay careful attention to our village board and believe Laura will do the most for our village. She has my support and I urge my fellow Lombardians who care about good government and sound financial management to vote for Laura Fitzpatrick on April 5.
