Fire from the bench: The Bulls' reserves played a huge role in building a 14-point halftime lead. Unlike Wednesday in Atlanta, they didn't let this advantage slip away. Center Omer Asik grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds, while Derrick Rose scored 24 points.
Smaller forward: Luol Deng has dominated two straight matchups with Orlando's Hedo Turkoglu. In his last two games against the Bulls, Turkoglu hit 3 of 17 shots for a total of 7 points, despite playing heavy minutes.
Odds and ends: The newest Bulls addition, swingman Rasual Butler, was inactive Friday. ... Golfer Tiger Woods sat courtside. ... The Bulls can move into second place in the East by winning at Miami on Sunday afternoon.
