Jessie Van Dorin’s hot streak came to an end Friday.
Shooting in the IHSA’s 3-point Showdown for the third time in her Hampshire career, Van Dorin bowed out of the competition by making just 7 of 15 while shooting in the Class 3A Final Four at Redbird Arena in Normal.
The Whip-Purs’ senior, who won the Class 3A showdown last year, had advanced to Friday’s Final Four by making 11 of 15 in Thursday’s preliminary round.
Illiana Christian senior Erinn Behn won the Class 3A title by making 10 of 15. Kirstie Owen of Salem had 8 and Kendal Detweiler of Grayslake North 8.
Behn will shoot against Class 4A champion Claire Monroe of West Chicago in today’s Queen of the Hill competition.
