Proud to be an American citizen

A little over two years into President Obama’s first term as president he has helped to get our country back on track by accomplishing: Ending combat operations in Iraq; Wall Street reform; the START treaty (moving toward a safer planet); credit card reform; the Recovery Act (saving or creating 3.3 million jobs); repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell; the Lilly Ledbetter Act (ensuring equal pay for women).

And, after nine previous presidents tried and failed, we finally have the Affordable Health Care Act — giving American’s greater options and more freedom to make the best decisions concerning health care for their families.

All this was accomplished despite the unreasonable misuse of the filibuster in the Senate. This president makes me more proud than ever to be an American citizen.
