Grayslake North math stars

Grayslake North High School’s math team recently placed first in a Division 3AA regional tournament, officials announced Thursday.

Competing against eight other teams, the Grayslake North squad qualified for the state competition set for April 30 at University of Illinois.

The team earned first-place honors in five categories including: Juniors, Calculator Team, Junior/Senior 8-Person, Junior/Senior 2-Person and Oralists.

Additionally, the team earned second-place honors in Seniors, Freshman/Sophomore 8-Person.
