Early surge wasted: A 19-point halftime lead wasn’t enough for the Bulls, who jumped to a 14-0 advantage and didn’t trail until 29.4 seconds remained.
Flying solo: Hawks power forward Al Horford dominated the game with 31 points and 16 assists, while Derrick Rose (12 points, 12 assists) hit just 5 of 21 attempts while being guarded by ex-teammate Kirk Hinrich most of the night.
Gator trouble: If it seems like Horford brings a little extra against former Florida teammate Joakim Noah, others have noticed the same trend. “Al would probably never admit it, but I think it’s personal,” Hawks forward Marvin Williams said. “You always want to bring it against your former (teammates), and he does it every time.”
