Wolves fall in OT on road
PEORIA — The Chicago Wolves rallied from a 3-0 first-period deficit with 4 straight goals in the second, but they couldn’t sustain the momentum and suffered a 6-5 overtime loss to the Peoria Rivermen at Carver Arena on Tuesday night.
Forwards Darren Haydar, Andre Deveaux and Kip Brennan and defensemen Arturs Kulda and Noah Welch scored for the Wolves (32-24-3-4).
The Rivermen (34-23-2-3) prevailed on a power-play goal with 10 seconds left in overtime, when defenseman Mark Cundari took a feed in the slot and cranked a shot past goaltender Chris Carrozzi.
Carrozzi (0-1-0) stopped 21 shots in his American Hockey League debut. The Wolves host the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
