The skinny: It’s the final home game for Blue Demons seniors Jimmy Drew, Mike Stovall and Mario Stula. Stick around after the game for their Senior Night ceremony. The Demons are locked into the Big East tournament’s 16th seed for the third straight year — unless they can take the Scarlet Knights and then win Saturday at Syracuse. In addition, Providence needs to lose its games against Louisville and Rutgers. DePaul won’t have freshman forward Cleveland Melvin the rest of the season. Melvin’s injured left thumb shelved the team’s top scorer (14.3) and shot-blocker (1.5) and No. 2 rebounder (5.0).
