Outsourcing began long before Obama

I must answer the letter you printed from Betty Grenda in the Feb. 17 Fence Post. She blames the Obama administration for the loss of jobs, forgetting that the outsourcing of jobs began years ago mostly during the Bush administration. This president has had only two years to try to reverse the actions of the previous eight and with no help from the Republican side of the congressional aisle.

Chinese-made clothing, appliances and toys were flooding the country long before Obama took office. In fact it is hard to find “Made in America” on anything in the stores these days, and that didn’t start just two years ago. However, the American car companies are beginning to add jobs and work shifts because of actions taken by the Obama administration.

As Ms. Grenda so aptly put it, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.” Now if she’ll only take a closer look.
