Northwestern (16-11, 6-10) at Wisconsin (21-6, 11-4)

When: 5 p.m. at Kohl Center

TV: BTN

Radio: WIND 560-AM

The skinny: If the Badgers want a piece of the Big Ten crown, they need to preserve Northwestern’s winless record at Kohl Center since the joint opened in Jan. 1998. Considering Wisconsin pounded NU 78-46 last month, it’s going to take a massive turnaround from the Wildcats. NU senior point guard Juice Thompson said after Thursday’s home loss to Penn State that the Wildcats are going to need to slow things down and make every possession precious. That shouldn’t be too hard considering, per Ken Pomeroy, Wisconsin plays at the nation’s second-slowest tempo. The Badgers needed just 50 possessions to stack up those 78 points against NU on Jan. 23 — the most-efficient showing in the nation this season.
