The skinny: With a Milwaukee loss and a Butler win, the surging Bulldogs claim the top seed and the home-court advantage yet again for the Horizon League tournament. Loyola, coming off its sweetest win of the year (Thursday’s 20-point triumph at Valpo), isn’t the best opponent for Butler right now. Not only did the Ramblers take Butler to the wire on Dec. 1 before falling 65-63, they own a 7-5 record on opponents’ home courts. Loyola senior Geoff McCammon has all but clinched the league’s 3-point crown. McCammon owns 81 3s — 7 more than Milwaukee’s Tone Boyle — heading into today’s regular-season finales. Loyola needs a win as well as losses by Valpo and Green Bay to get the No. 7 seed in next week’s Horizon League tournament.
