Women in Management meets March 10

On Thursday, March 10, the Northern Fox Valley Chapter of Women in Management presents “Meeting Life's Challenges with Love and Wisdom” with Leslie Karen Sann, MA, LCPC, founder and director of Living by Design in Geneva.

Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the luncheon and program at noon at the Holiday Inn & Suites Northwest, 495 Airport Road, Elgin. Meetings adjourn promptly at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Reservations must be made for attendance online at www.wimonline.org.

Sann is a board certified professional counselor, licensed clinical professional counselor, certified ontological coach, with master's degree in spiritual psychology, practical spirituality and counseling psychology.

She will share a simple process of meeting life's challenges with love and wisdom. When observing one's own reality, coming to negative conclusions, and worrying about your situation, it's time to take dominion in your consciousness. Individuals have both inner and outer choices: choices in the attitude we hold and choices in the actions we take.

Those in attendance will learn to gently and compassionately forgive oneself for any judgments or misunderstandings and reframe challenges as opportunities. Forgiveness allows acceptance and being present to the moment. Acceptance opens creative possibility. Embracing possibility leads to action. Action leads to successful outcomes.

Learn simple power moves to help shift from the resource-less state of judgment to one of resilience, possibility and creativity. Learn to meet life's challenges with love and wisdom and to live by design.

The Northern Fox Valley Chapter of Women in Management was founded in 1984. It is part of a national organization. Members are comprised of professionals in six categories: academic; corporate; entrepreneur; government; licensed, degreed professional; and nonprofit. Area women managers/business owners are invited to join. For more information, visit www.wimonline.org.
