Comets rally past Riot

The Chicago Riot could not hold on to a 7-2 lead in the fourth quarter as the Missouri Comets rattled off a 7-0 run en route to a 9-7 win Sunday in Major Indoor Soccer League action at the Independence Events Center in Independence, Mo.

The Riot (4-12) has lost six straight on the road.

The Comets are 5-11.

The Riot is not mathematically eliminated from the playoff picture. In order to have a chance to qualify for the playoffs, the Riot needs to win its four remaining games and have the third-place Omaha Vipers (7-10) lose their three remaining games.
