Bachman helps Stars top Wolves

The Chicago Wolves saw a 2-2 tie snapped with a late third-period goal that gave the Texas Stars a 3-2 win before a crowd of 10,721 at the Allstate Arena on Saturday night.

Jason Krog and Paul Postma tallied goals for the Wolves, whose three-game winning streak was snapped.

“We dominated the whole game but their goaltender put on a great performance,” said Wolves coach Don Lever. “We worked hard but we just didn’t get it by him.”

Stars goalie Richard Bachman (21-12-3) stopped 42 shots. Peter Mannino (14-14-3) made 24 saves for the Wolves.

Wave 20, Riot 4:

The Chicago Riot lost to the Milwaukee Wave in Major Indoor Soccer League action at the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee (12-4) swept the four-game season series with the Riot (4-11).

Riot scoring leader Bato Radoncic netted his 16th goal. Radoncic has scored at least 1 goal in his past four matches, as well as 9 goals overall during that stretch.
