Arlington Hts. comes through

Sunday after the blizzard, the Cook County road department replowed Euclid and placed so much snow on my parkway I could not see the red light on Wilke and Euclid and could not see oncoming traffic nor could they see me. I was a virtual prisoner and left my home only when absolutely necessary and then prayed when I backed out of my drive.

When I called the Village of Arlington Heights Public Works Dept. they answered my call for help with patience and empathy. They came on a windy and very cold day and removed a truck load and a half of snow from my parkway thereby freeing me to back out of my drive safely.

The employees of the Arlington Heights Public Works Dept. were my knights in shining armor. My deep and sincerest gratitude to them. I am truly blessed to live in such a caring and friendly community.
