Michigan beats Iowa

Freshman Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a career-high 30 points to lead visiting Michigan (17-11, 7-8 Big Ten) to a 75-73 overtime victory over Iowa (10-17, 3-12). Hardaway, who scored 22 points in the second half, hit 2 free throws with 15 seconds left in a 1-point game to help the Wolverines win for the sixth time in eight games.

St. Peter’s 71, Loyola 67:

Wesley Jenkins and Nick Leon scored 17 points apiece as visiting St. Peter’s (17-11) held off Loyola (15-13) in a BracketBusters game. Geoff McCammon scored 20 points and set the single-season 3-point record for the Ramblers.

Butler 79, UIC 52:

Matt Howard scored 19 points to lead Butler (20-9, 12-5 Horizon League) to its sixth straight victory over UIC (7-22, 2-15). Paul Carter’s 15 points paced the Flames, who have lost six of seven.

Seattle 60, Northern Illinois 48:

Cervante Burrell scored 15 points, and Seattle (10-16) limited host Northern Illinois (7-18) to 12 points in the first half of a BracketBusters victory. Michael Patton scored 15 points and Antone Christian 12 for the Huskies, who lost their seventh straight.

W. Michigan 68, Illinois St. 65:

Host Western Michigan (15-10) overcame an 11-point deficit early in the second half to defeat Illinois State (11-17). Austin Hill led the Redbirds with 12 points.

SIU 61, Wis.-Green Bay 60:

Mamadou Seck made a driving layup with one second remaining to give host Southern Illinois (12-16) a victory over Wisconsin-Green Bay (12-16) in a nonconference matchup.

Eastern Illinois 75, Toledo 58:

Jeremy Granger scored 20 points to lead Eastern Illinois (9-18) over Toledo (4-23) and snap the Panthers’ eight-game losing streak.

S. Utah 68, W. Illinois 63:

Matt Lander poured in a game-high 26 points, but it wasn’t enough as host Western Illinois (7-20, 2-14 Summit) fell to Southern Utah (10-17, 6-10).

Bradley 81, Tenn-Martin 75:

Walt Lemon Jr. scored 20 points and Andrew Warren 16 as Bradley (10-18) came back to beat host Tennessee-Martin (10-19) in a nonconference game.
