Libertyville’s ‘Let’s Wine About Winter’ Saturday
Spend a wintry afternoon strolling through downtown Libertyville on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 5 p.m., visiting shops and restaurants while sipping wine or tasting refreshments as part of MainStreet Libertyville’s 5th annual “Let’s Wine About Winter” event.
From the Metra station to Broadway and on Church, Cook and Lake streets, inside the many shops and restaurants will be a variety of local talented artists. A $10 etched commemorative wine glass will be your “ticket” to this fun event and can be purchased at any one of more than 25 participating stores on that day. No advance reservations are required.
“This has always been one of our premier downtown events,” said Pam Hume, MainStreet Libertyville executive director. “Last year we sold over 720 glasses and from the calls we have already received, this year should be another busy day in the downtown. Many people are experiencing cabin fever so it’s a great way to shake the winter doldrums.”
Dr. Jordan Leasure, owner of North Shore Pro-Active Health and promotions chair for MainStreet, called Wine about Winter “an amazing community event.”
“As a business owner, it’s exciting to see many familiar as well as new faces explore our facility while enjoying a glass of wine. Last year I think we had over 400 people through our office, many of which had the opportunity to stroll the streets and receive a complimentary chair massage, appetizers, enjoy entertainment and even artist displays.”
