The skinny: The Blue Demons are flying high after earning their first Big East win since Jan. 20, 2010. But there wasn’t much time to celebrate Thursday night’s 79-76 win at Providence. The team’s return flight touched down at Midway Airport at 1:45 a.m. Friday, which didn’t leave much time for sleep before starting preparation for the 15th-ranked Wildcats. Oddly enough, DePaul’s win over Villanova on Jan. 3, 2008, represents the last time the school defeated a Top 25 team. Can the Blue Demons erase the last negative streak on their resume? Villanova has dropped five of its last nine games, after all. Senior PG Corey Fisher (15.6 ppg, 5.1 apg) is one of 11 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award.
