Potterites explore Chamber of Secrets at Waukegan library

Harry Potter fans from all over Lake County turned out for a Harry Potter Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Waukegan Public Library.

The event paid tribute to the second book in the J.K. Rowling series, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."

Dressed as characters from Hagrid to Dumbledore, librarians hosted Harry Potter trivia and other games, and served snacks befitting true wizards-in-training.

Each month the library celebrates another book in the Harry Potter series. The next event, honoring Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5 in the Bradbury Room.
