FBI searches for Lombard bank robber
The FBI is searching for a man who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a Lombard bank, authorities said Thursday.
Investigators said the man entered Fifth Third Bank at 505 W. Roosevelt Road about 11:50 a.m. Tuesday and handed the teller a note announcing the robbery. He did not display a weapon.
The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI said. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid- to late-20s who was wearing a black knit hat with a bill, a black glove and a white jacket.
Investigators said they don’t know if the robbery is connected with any others in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
