Quinn wears Kente cloth during speech
While giving his budget address Wednesday, Gov. Pat Quinn wore a cloth around his neck called a Kente cloth.
It was given to him by Rep. Karen Yarbrough of Chicago. Often this month, lawmakers and others around the Capitol are wearing the Kente cloths to celebrate Black History Month.
Kente cloths have roots in traditional African weaving.
