Radoncic’s 3 goals send Riot past Vipers

Chicago Riot scoring leader Bato Radoncic had 3 goals in a 12-6 victory over the Omaha Vipers in Major Indoor Soccer League action Sunday at the Odeum in Villa Park. Radoncic has 15 goals this season. The Riot (4-10) salvaged a weekend split with the third-place Vipers (7-8) to stay in the hunt for the third playoff position. The Vipers won the season series 3-1.

Thrashers recall Wolves’ Machacek:

The Atlanta Thrashers recalled right wing Spencer Machacek from the Chicago Wolves. Macachek has 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in his last 10 games and is third on the Wolves and 17th in the American Hockey League with 42 points in 49 games this season. His 16 goals rank third on the Wolves, while his plus-14 rating ranks second on the squad. The Lethbridge, Alberta, native has appeared in six career National Hockey League games with the Thrashers.
