Poor snow removal is unacceptable

I live in Round Lake and work in Elk Grove Village. On my regular commute, I travel on a wide variety of local, county and state roads. During the past snowstorm, I thought all of the road crews except one did an exceptional job of moving the snow off the roads.

Elk Grove Village completely failed in their feeble at best attempts to clear the roads. As I write, It is Friday morning after the storm, and their roads still are not clear. The side roads are barely passable and the intersections buried.

When we asked a village employee with a plow why they were not pushing the snow back off the street, he suggested we use our commercial snow removal service to plow the street in front of our warehouse.

Our trucks are getting stuck in the half-plowed drifts, and my customers won't come near Elk Grove Village because of the problems.

This level of snow removal is simply unacceptable.
