Snowy sidewalks hazardous to kids

The snow stopped days ago, yet people still have not cleared their sidewalks off. For kids who walk to school or stand at bus stops, this is a substantial safety concern. While it is never safe to walk or stand in the street, it is even more important now that kids do not do so. With all of the large drifts created by snowplows and shoveling, motorists do not have clear lines of vision. In addition, some of the streets have not been plowed to their full widths, making it difficult for cars to pass each other. It is not safe for kids to be standing on these narrow streets.

Be a friendly neighbor to the kids, postal workers, and others — clear off your sidewalks! Thank you.
