Waukegan police nab bank robbery suspect

A 21-year-old Kenosha, Wis., man has been charged in connection to a Waukegan bank robbery, police said.

Waukegan police Thursday arrested David Schoenhaar on the same day authorities say he took part in the armed “takeover style” robbery of Associated Bank, 1 S. Genesse St., Chicago FBI officials said in a news release.

Two other individuals also are being sought in connection to the robbery.

Schoenhaar was turned over to the FBI and subsequently charged with one count of bank robbery. He appeared in U.S. District Court on Friday.

He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
