Museum offers commuter parking for a fee

Beginning Monday, Feb. 14, an additional 28 daily fee parking spaces will be available to commuters in the parking lot of the DuPage Children's Museum, 301 N. Washington St.

The numbered daily fee spaces are located on the east side of the parking lot. For a map of the new spaces, visit the city's website at www.naperville.il.us/commuterparking.aspx.

Commuters may park in the designated daily fee parking spaces before 9 a.m. Monday through Friday at a cost of $5 per day. A $.05 transaction fee will apply if paying by credit card. The fee must be paid at the daily fee parking machines located at the Naperville Metra Station.

All remaining spaces in the DuPage Children's Museum parking lot are designated for museum patrons and employees. Any commuter parking in a space other than a designated daily fee parking space may have their car ticketed or towed.

The new daily fee parking spaces at the museum are part of the lease agreement between the City of Naperville and the DuPage Children's Museum, which was approved by the City Council in October 2010. As part of the agreement, the city retains the right to utilize up to 57 parking spaces for commuter parking on the Museum property.

For more information on the new daily fee parking spaces and other commuter parking information, visit the city's website at www.naperville.il.us/commuterparking.aspx.
