Such peaceful talk warms the heart

My dear Elizabeth Hansen of Schaumburg (“Rise above the inflammatory prattle,” Jan. 19 Fence Post,

Oh, how inspiring your wonderful, calming words were, sorrowing over the constant negative tenor of talk radio and cable news. I felt so warm inside. I want to just walk out among you, with a Christianlike halo around me, smiling warmly to everyone, declaring myself neutral on all human issues like you want us to be.

With your serene outlook on our society, I think you should enter a convent or some such training program so that you can share your beautiful soul with others. We could become such a peaceful country under your influence.

And how brilliant to include your disappointment with both sides of cable news, although I could find you mention only one politician, only a Republican. Could it be, ahem, could it be that . . . nah, it couldn’t be, that (tremble, tremble) you are a no, it couldn’t be . . . a Sarah Palin hater?
