Barrington Hills candidate withdraws

Dawn Davis, a candidate for the open two-year trustee seat on the Barrington Hills village board, has withdrawn from the race, according to the village clerk’s office.

Her withdrawal leaves Harold “Skip” Gianopulos uncontested for the two-year seat.

Candidates for the three four-year seats contested in the April 5 election include the Common Sense Party slate of Steve D’Amore, Diane “Dede” Wamberg and incumbent Beth Mallen; the Save 5 Acres slate of Patty Meroni, incumbent Joe Messer and Village Clerk Karen Selman; and independent candidate David Stieper.
