S. Elgin Lions accept scholarship applications

For over 25 years the South Elgin Lion's Club has offered scholarships to graduating seniors as a way giving back to the youth in our community.

The Lions are now accepting scholarship applications from qualifying seniors at the South Elgin High School or any senior that resides within the South Elgin Fire District for the year 2011.

All interested students must have senior standing in high school, be in the top 50 percent of their class, have a contingent acceptance by a state accredited college or university.

The amount of the scholarship(s) will be determined at a later date. The requirements and application can be found on the South Elgin Lions Club website at www.southelginlions.com.

All applications must be received no later than Sunday, May 1 at South Elgin Lions Club, 500 Fulton St., South Elgin, IL 60177.
