Credit union offers scholarship opportunities
Community Trust Credit Union knows that paying for their young peoples' college education is both a priority and a financial challenge for many families. That's why the popular Gurnee-based, nonprofit financial cooperative is offering its members the opportunity to apply for one of four single-year $500 scholarships.
To be eligible, a student must be enrolled to attend a college or technical school within six months of graduation from high school, and he/she or their parent(s) must be a member in good standing of Community Trust Credit Union for at least one year.
Scholarship applications are available at Community Trust's main headquarters at 1313 Skokie Highway in Gurnee, as well as its Grayslake branch at 1263 N. Route 83 and its Lake Villa branch at 1380 Deep Lake Road.
Applications must be postmarked on or before Friday, March 4, and recipients will be notified by April 4.
