Your news: Arlington Hts. Citizen Police Academy class graduates
Class No. 12 of the Arlington Heights Citizen Police Academy held its graduation ceremony in the village hall council chamber and was attended by both Mayor Arlene Mulder and Chief of Police Gerald Mourning.
In addition to recognizing 25 new academy graduates, Class No. 12 uniquely hosted a record number of four married couples. The graduation ceremony followed a demonstration by the police department’s three K-9 officers and included the first public appearance of the department’s third K-9 team member Max.
Applications for the spring session of the academy are limited and currently available through the village’s website at VAH.com or through the police department’s Information Desk. The spring class will be held between March 1-May 10, and covers topics ranging from forensics to financial crimes and patrol to N.I.P.A.S. (SWAT) operations.
