MISL honors Riot forward with Player of Week award
Riot forward Bato Radoncic’s 4-goal burst in Sunday’s win over the Missouri Comets earned him Player of the Week honors, Major Indoor Soccer League officials announced Monday.
Radoncic’s 4 goals and 8 points led Chicago to a 16-12 victory over Missouri Comets on Sunday at the Odeum Sports and Expo Center in Villa Park.
Two of Radoncic’s goals came during the fourth quarter as the Riot outscored the Comets, 8-0, in the final 15 minutes to overcome a 12-8 deficit.
The win snapped Chicago’s three-game losing streak. Radoncic moved into the top 10 among the league scoring leaders. He is tied for ninth in the MISL with 27 points and he leads the Riot with 11 goals.
The Riot’s next home game is 7 p.m. Sunday against the Omaha Vipers at the Odeum.
