Heat gets past Wolves in shootout

The Chicago Wolves’ Darren Haydar tied the game at 3-3 with less than three minutes to play to force overtime, but the Abbotsford Heat came away with a 4-3 shootout win Friday night at the Allstate Arena. Nigel Dawes was the only Wolves player to convert in the shootout, while goalie Peter Mannino stopped 3 of Abbotsford’s 5 attempts.
