Will Cutler be sent packing next year?

I keep thinking about the Bears' loss to the Packers, and trying to be as succinct as I can be, I don't question Jay Cutler's toughness or his talent.

His knee may be injured, but the one thing that I noticed, watching the game, (maybe it's me) but when the Bears were down 14-0, I saw close-up shots of Cutler on the field. He looked like a deer in the headlights. He wasn't sharp that day, and found himself playing comeback football.

As for Caleb Hanie, you could not have placed him into more of a pressure cooker, and had he been in at the start of the second half, the Bears may well have come back and won.

I say Lovie Smith ought to take an especially hard look at him as far as the starting QB position next season. He has been with the team for a while now, and he should know the system real well.

My take on this: Cutler was panic-stricken. And tossed around was the question, “Which Jay Cutler would show up that day, good Jay or bad Jay?” I seem to remember the same question brought up about another QB the Bears had not long ago. Who knows?

Maybe next season, Jay Cutler finds himself receiving a gift of luggage, because he may be sent packing. Inside one of the bags, it could be he finds a note from the one who sends them. “A little present for you, Jay. How does it feel to be me?” Rex Grossman.”
