Sleepy Hollow roads clear
While nearby towns work to clean side streets and sidewalks, Sleepy Hollow’s roadways are clear, Village President Stephen Pickett says.
“We’re fine,” Pickett said. “The village is plowed out, nothing’s closed. All of the streets are passable. Our big issue is now that we’ve got the roads open, where do we put the extra stuff?”
Garbage pickup, usually done on Thursday, was pushed back to Friday, according to the village’s website.
Police had to call on snow plows to help dig out a driver stranded Tuesday on Route 72, but the village has sen no other dramatic rescues during the storm and its aftermath, Pickett said.
“We got everything operational and moving forward,” he said.
