Man found in car died of natural causes
Lake County sheriff’s officials said one person was found dead near Grayslake in the middle of the blizzard.
However, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said the 48-year-old man found about 11 p.m. Tuesday in a snow drift died from natural causes.
Lake County Sheriff Deputy Chief Kevin Parker said a deputy discovered the body at Route 45 and Casey Road.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, but Keller said neither carbon monoxide nor cold weather played a role in the man’s death.
“It was so busy last night that I really don’t have any other information about it,” Parker said early Wednesday morning. “It was just chaos out here during the storm.”
The victim was in a car in a snowbank. The car’s engine was running when it was found by the deputy, Parker said.
Keller said an autopsy scheduled for this morning will determine cause of death.
