Allstate Arena in good shape despite snow
Despite the snow, the Allstate Arena in Rosemont will be ready for Thursday's DePaul men's basketball game versus No. 9-ranked Notre Dame.
“The structure is fine, the structure is sound,” Rosemont spokesman Wes Bleed said of the 18,500-seat arena, where the teams will face off at 8 p.m. “Everything looks good.”
While for many the wind complicated matters, Bleed noted that at the arena, the wind helped by blowing snow off its roof.
Meanwhile, Rosemont crews were busy plowing streets. Bleed said the biggest challenge residents face is driving out of their driveways.
“If you could get out of your driveway, Rosemont is fine as far as snowed streets are concerned,” Bleed said.
